چکیده
d 1 and Api g 1. Serum of only one patient revealed the presence of antibodies cross-reacting with the apple, celery and carrot protein with the same molecular weight, which may correspond the main allergens of these foods – Mal d 1, Api g 1 Dau c 1. Additionally sera of 6 persons demonstrated the presence of antibodies reacting with apple protein with the molecular weight 10 kDa which may correspond to the lipid transfer protein (LTP). Among some of the patients, antibodies which have not been identified so far reacted with birch, apple and celery proteins. Conclusions: Although the immunoblotting is an effective method confirming the existences of the cross-reactivity, it still remains the method of verifying and supplementing other diagnostic tests, and a negative result doesn’t exclude the existence of this kind of allergy.

Effect of Climate Change on Fagaceae Airborne Pollen in Japan as Allergic Causative Agent Associated with Food Allergy
Rational: It is no exaggeration to say that Japanese allergic people has increased according to the increase of Japanese Cedar (JC) pollinosis since the first case report, 1964. In Japan allergenic conifer airborne pollen counts have been increasing with a concomitant change in the start of pollination as a result of climate change during about 30 years. We also investigated as if Fagaceae poll...

Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the otitis media with effusion (OME) groups that improved when treated with adenoidectomy and Ventilation Tube (VT), to the group of the recurred after surgery and detect the possible role of allergy in OME. Material and Methods: This study was performed on two groups. The Patient group consisted of 38 patients with recurrent OME with allergy an...
متن کاملPeach allergy: different clinical profiles across Europe
Rosaceae fruit allergy is the most common food allergy in Europe in patients over 5 years of age. The two fruits most frequently involved are peach and apple. Different clinical phenotypes of peach allergy are observed across Europe in relation to different allergen sensitisation patterns to the peach allergens Pru p1 (Bet v 1 homologue), Pru p 3 (peach lipid transfer protein, LTP), and Pru p 4...
متن کاملSensitisation pattern to birch pollen allergen components in oral allergy syndrome to Rosaceae fruits in patients with spring pollinosis from an East European Sylvosteppe area with low density forests
Methods We evaluated subjects from Southern Romania, a Central European region with temperate continental climate with submediterranean and humid subtropical influences, where sensitization to Betulaceae pollen is less important in pollinosis compared with that to grass or weed pollen. We selected adult patients from the region of sylvosteppe with low density forests dominated by deciduous spec...
متن کاملVig r 6, the cytokinin-specific binding protein from mung bean (Vigna radiata) sprouts, cross-reacts with Bet v 1-related allergens and binds IgE from birch pollen allergic patients’ sera
SCOPE Birch pollen associated allergy to mung bean sprouts is caused by cross-reactivity between the birch pollen allergen Bet v 1 and the mung bean allergen Vig r 1. We aimed to determine the allergenicity of the cytokinin-specific binding protein from mung bean (Vig r 6), another allergen related to Bet v 1 with only 31% sequence identity. METHODS AND RESULTS Bet v 1, Gly m 4, Vig r 1, and ...
